About Us

The Naples Jewish Congregation founded in 1998 serves the spiritual needs of mature adults with warmth, fellowship, study, and participation in Jewish observances. Our congregants are part of our extended family. We join with our Rabbi, Cantorial Soloist and Choir for a joyous Shabbat service each Friday evening at 7:30 pm.
The winter season includes services every Shabbat. The Summer Shabbat Services schedule begins in May on the last Shabbat of the month. Regularly scheduled weekly Shabbat Services resume every Friday night at 7:30 PM in September.

The Congregation meets every Friday night from September through April, to joyfully welcome the Shabbat.  We congregate to celebrate the festivals, the High Holy days, of course, concluding the season with a “Break-the-Fast” following the Ne’ilah service of Yom Kippur.  For Sukkoth, we make blessing for the Lulaf and Etrog, we annually have a Purim-schpiel at which we dutifully Boo Haman at the bare mention of his name.  We honor the Shoal observances, we have a gala Passover Seder (with this year, maybe a new Haggadah).  Our Men’s Club sponsors our annual “Welcome Back BBQ” for our members who have summered in cooler climes.  The Sisterhood is a very active group, too.  There is a Shabbat Service led by the ladies of the Sisterhood; a woman’s Seder; a woman’s weekend full of activities, discussion and crafts.  The ever popular Book discussion and luncheon.  Both the Sisterhood and Men’s Club are open to new activities, at least one a year.

NJC Summer schedule for Friday evening Services are conducted on the last Shabbat of May (May 27th), June (June 24th), July (July 29th) and August (August 26th). We resume Shabbat Season Services every Friday at 7:30 pm beginning September 2nd.

We gather at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Greater Naples, at 6340 Napa Woods Way, Naples, FL 34116.                     View Larger Map
